One should not miss indulging in a unique natural adventure in the surrounding area of Krakow in addition to the multitude of cultural points of interest. In the northeastern part of the High Tatras in the border area between Poland and Slovakia are the small limestone mountains of the Pieniny. This is where the Pieninski national park is located and where the Dunajec river breaks through the Pieninski mountains and flows in the direction of the Wisla, at times through a canyon only 100 meters wide and stone walls up to 300 meters high. The 23 kilometer route begins in Kroscienko and lasts about two hours and 45 minutes. The traditional boats are lead by experienced raftsmen that guarantee to deliver their cargo safely.
